Appreciation post to @apothekescience ‘s engagement gift! I would like to share this story of the supposed to be my bf’s(now fiancé) proposal surprise/PR package with a local brand, Apothekescience. My fiancè’s first plan was to have apotheke send me a PR package for both men and women line and we will unbox it together. With the help of my good friend Tesh @bloomingpixie (love you teeee 😘), she messaged them last December. And my Lalab planned to have the proposal by end of January to first week of Feb. For some circumstances, my jan & feb has been a busy month and so is for the brand - Reason why it was moved. So the ending was my fiancé proposed last week, March 12 after we watched the last full show of Captain Marvel, with no props and gimmicks. He wanted it to be simple but special. Tesh sent me the message receipts with apotheke and they were so excited and so open with the plan. I was really touched! 🥰😭 Even though the plan was not pushed through, they were still generous enough to send me and tesh gifts. Even before all of this, I truly believed in this brand and recommended it to my guy friends. Plus, they are very affordable, safe & effective! @purito_official BHA Dead Skin Moisture Gel⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) is an active/chemical exfoliants that works best for oily skin as it's oil soluble and penetrates within the pores. This is said to be the BFF of oily and acne-prone skin. Actives refer to skin care ingredients that are scientifically proven to actively and directly affect your skin.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ This chemical exfoliant, BHA can be drying since they don't have humectant properties unlike AHA. So make sure your skin is well hydrated when you use this. Use products that have high hyaluronic acid! You can find a lot of sheet masks that has this. I recommend Dr. Morita masks.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ This product contains betaine salicylate, a gentler salicylic acid that's why this is also works for sensitive skin.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ This is new! A moisturizer that is a chemical exfoliant. I usually use toners/liquids so this is the first. I use this only 2-3 times a week as I don't want to over exfoliate as it will irritate your skin making you more prone to breakouts. It is recommended by Purito to use this only 3 times a week at night. I make sure that my skin is properly hydrated every time I incorporate this on my routine. I layer hydrating toners and use sheet masks that has high hyaluronic acid in the ingredients. It helps me get rid of the roughness or dead skin cells I have on my forehead. I can say that this is safe for sensitive skin because I don’t experience any heating but I did purge so I stopped using it to help my skin recover. Then I continued to use it again. Unlike other exfoliants, this doesn't made my skin peel so that's good. What I personally don't like about this is the smell. It smells really odd, like rubber or plastic. I don't know it just bothers me. It doesn’t feel drying but the moisture is not enough to give me the plumpness I want. @tiam_global Blackhead Perfect Clean Ball Review! (Finally)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It’s my first time trying a silk ball as a physical exfoliator. It’s a cocoon like ball with an opening for your finger. They are naturally woven by silk worms that’s why the size varies. It has rough sides that helps to exfoliate your blackheads & whiteheads.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I used the clean ball for 5 times for this review, 1-2 times a week. Since this is an exfoliant, my routine goes as: Cleansing > Clean Ball > Wash with water > Hydrating toner > Serum > Cream.⁣⁣⁣ For 10pcs of silk ball, it costs ₱720.00/$13.75 ⁣⁣⁣ You can also use this on different parts of your face that has rough skin like your forehead or chin. I enjoy scrubbing those blackheads on my nose with this silk ball. It doesn’t feel harsh to the skin as it is soaked in solution making it a bit soft. Every time I use this, my skin feels smooth & it did helped my congested nose area. Overall it did lessen the appearance of my blackheads/whiteheads but it didn’t disappear overnight. My skin peels on the days I use this so I still prefer chemical exfoliants and pads in treating blackheads and rough skin. I’m not sure if it’s the solution that causes my skin to be sensitized but I experience stinging on the side of my nose when I apply the Fix Source serum after. As for the results, you can see changes faster when you use this rather than chemical exfoliants. ⁣ ⁣ Just wanted to point out that this is not a miracle worker, not everything happens overnight. Imagine everyday you have oil, dirt that pollutes your face. These turns into dead skin cells that clogs your pores. Tadah(blackheads formed) Treating these should be done continuously. This has been emptied for quite a while and it’s just now that I had chance to post a full review on this. I want you guys to meet my current HG moisturizer. ~ @neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel! ⁣ The moment I knew I love this was when I went home to my province and left this at the condo. There was a typhoon so I wasn’t able to go to work. I was so sad I can’t use this, it feels like my routine is incomplete. Thaaaat feeling of longing for something. As they said, you’ll only feel the importance of someone/something once its out of your hand. Charot! Well that’s what it feels loool.⁣ ⁣ So going back, there are some gel moisturizers that are easily absorbed but will not give you enough plumpness or hydration. This one gives you both! I love how my skin feels and look in the morning when I use this. That plumpness without the oily feels in the morning is very refreshing. I can use this both in the morning and at night because it’s light. I tried a lot of gel & cream moisturizers and I will always go back to using this one. Hence, EMPTIED!⁣ ⁣ The only con I could think of was the strong scent it has. I got used to it but for some who are scentsitive, this might be a problem for you. It smells like a strong perfume. But guess what, I found a variant for sensitive skin in Taiwan! I was so excited when I saw a hydro boost version that is fragrance-free! I’m so tempted to open it when I was there lol. It’s called “Hydro Boost Nourishing Gel Cream“. Here’s the first for 2019!⁣ ⁣ ⭐️Starburst Body Frosting⭐️⁣ My first product from @rrawph !⁣ Scent: Apple pie, Honeydew, Melon, Sugar⁣ ⁣ It is an in-bath lotion that starts with a scrub then turns into a creamy luxurious lather.⁣ ⁣ What is it? ⁣ A body scrub/body polish/whipped soap rolled into one!⁣ ⁣ It has apricot seeds that doesn’t feel abrasive. I love how creamy it turns once rubbed in the body. And once washed, it doesn’t leave a film or greasy feeling. I always look forward to using this when I take a bath. This body frost is for those who are lazy in using lotions because this acts as a soap/lotion/body scrub. This can be used 3x a week as advised by rraw. Remember, If your face needs exfoliation to remove dead skin, your body needs it more!⁣ ⁣ There are a lot of flavors to choose from but I’m so glad I picked a good one! Starburst is a fruity more on gummy yummy scent but not that sweet. It reminds me of childhood, eating starburst or frutella candy! I don’t like super sweet scents, I’m more of a fresh, green tea, clean notes.
